Welcome to Country Hotel Velani, a stunning hotel estate located at the tranquil hillsides of Heraklion, Crete. The combination of mountain wildlife and recreation offer a relaxing holiday.
The moment you arrive on the hillside of the country hotel you immediately experience a serene quietness and panoramic view. The 3.5 hectare large estate is situated on the Lagada Valley with the Apposelemis River crossing through. Admire the view of the Dikti Mountains and their red colored peaks from our spacious back terrace. The estate is surrounded by a number of protected tree and flower species, with olive groves stretching down the valley.
The country hotel fits naturally in its surroundings and was built with natural stones collected from the land it stands on. The neo-classical style creates a romantic atmosphere for long summer nights. The hotel has its own professional equestrian centre and organizes memorable experiences for horse riding, caving, mountain climbing, bird watching and an 18-hole golf course is also close by.

| The country hotel consists of 12 spacious rooms, grouped into 2 bungalows. The bungalows lay quietly separate from the main activities. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable and all have a tremendous view over the valley. |
| The main building houses the reception and a romantic bar with a large balcony on which you can drink your Greek coffee or Rakí. In the main building you can find the Panorama Restaurant with its large terrace overlooking the riding place and the valley. The restaurant serves the Cretan diet, which is famous for being healthy and for the use of its olive oil, produced at the estate. |
